when I was younger, I went up to andy mirkovich and asked him about playing the piano, and he let me play a Steinway grand in the middle of a Seattle mall

The Steinway in my parents house was played as it floated down the Colorado river...for reasons I can’t remember

I thought they closed Steinway hall. To play the Rachmaninoff piano they must have let you in the piano vault. At least I think that’s what they call it. Are you looking at buying a piano?

It was on some kind of raft like a j rig and on a calm part of the river. Part of a music series promo or something. There is a picture book that came with the piano I will have to find I guess

Been down in the vault - lots of really nice Ds, Bs ... Rachmaninoff room is on the second floor. I have owned a Steinway K and a Yamaha standard conservatory grand. One day I might buy another.

Excellent, glad to hear we have another pianist around hete. I’m hoping to buy a B one day. My piano teacher had one and its worth every penny.

I want to say the Steinway in our synagogue was made in 1912 or thereabouts.

So the varnish on it was drying when the Titanic went down. Nice.

Played mine as it went onto a truck in 1984 ... sounded good outside.
